YZJA 1.5 EcoBoost – Ford Fiesta ST Mk8 & Puma ST Head Gasket Keychain
YZJA 1.5 EcoBoost — three cylinders, two Ford Performance icons
The YZJA represents one of the more unusual engines in Ford's modern performance history.
Developed for the Mk8 Fiesta ST, the 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder EcoBoost produces 200 PS from just 1,497 cc, combining turbocharging, high-pressure fuel injection, Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing and cylinder deactivation technology.
Despite dropping a cylinder compared with the previous Fiesta ST180's 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine, Ford increased output to 200 PS at 6,000 rpm while delivering 290 Nm between 1,600 and 4,000 rpm.
The same performance engine was then adapted for the Puma ST, where Ford increased peak torque to 320 Nm between 2,500 and 3,500 rpm while retaining the 200 PS output.
Its three-cylinder firing character became an important part of both cars' identities, giving Ford an engine that was mechanically distinctive rather than simply another four-cylinder turbo.
This GasketKeys piece recreates that three-cylinder head-gasket profile as a compact stainless-steel tribute to the engine behind both the Fiesta ST Mk8 and Puma ST 200.
Engineering & Craftsmanship
- Industrial Grade Build: Precision laser-cut from premium 304 stainless steel with a durable brushed finish.
- Protective Frame: Housed inside a 3.3 mm CNC-machined PLY frame for protection and presentation.
- Technical Precision: Cylinder bores, coolant passages and significant gasket features are digitally mapped from the original gasket.
- Letterbox Friendly: Slim under-5 mm packaging keeps UK delivery practical.
Those construction points directly follow the supplied GasketKeys framework.
A subtle Ford Performance memento
The YZJA is especially well suited to the GasketKeys concept because its three-cylinder geometry is immediately different from the four- and five-cylinder engines surrounding it in Ford's ST lineage.
Instead of conventional logo-based merchandise, the gasket shape represents the actual mechanical architecture underneath the car.
For Fiesta ST or Puma ST owners, it works as a subtle engineering memento rather than simply another ST badge.
